16 May Blog #014: Ideas to ENLIVEN your corporate summer event
As summer fast approaches, we thought we would take a look at some of the ways you can ENLIVEN the venue of your corporate summer party. There’s no better way to boost morale, reward the team or celebrate the launch of a new product or service than throwing a celebratory do. If the sun does actually decide to shine, then even better.
Whatever the weather, here are our tips to make your summer event shine.
Bespoke Set Design
Whether you’ve hired out a venue or you’ve gone for open outdoor space – make it your own with a bespoke designed set. Working with a graphic design and/or large format installation company means you can ensure your venue looks exactly how you want it to be. This is particularly important if you need to incorporate branding elements within the design or have a particular theme in mind for the set design.
Pick a catering option that is in line with the kind of event you want it to be. If you want to encourage people to mingle about and keep it quite casual, a sit-down meal probably isn’t the best idea. Instead you could draw inspiration from festivals with a BBQ or street food style traders. Opting for festival style food traders will give your event a fun and relaxed atmosphere whilst also offering plenty of choice to cater for different tastes.
If you can’t find your perfect event space, why not create your own venue instead. Hire an open space and then design it so that it’s tailored to your exact requirements. This option takes a lot more organising and potentially a bigger budget, but it does mean that you have complete creative control over everything from the creative production and event infrastructure down to the furniture and décor.
Temporary Event Structures
If you are planning a high capacity event, think about incorporating a multi-level structure. Make it a stand out and eye-catching central feature for the event with a particularly unusual design. It can also provide much needed protection from the elements should the weather turn for the worse – nothing will end an outdoor event quicker than rain and nowhere to shelter.
You also have additional branding opportunities with the blank canvas of a temporary structure.
